Double Chocolate Zucchini Bread Recipe
Ahhh.. the gift of sleep and coffee. As a mom, you can’t beat that.
No chaos in the morning trying to get out of the door. Which believe me, weekday mornings around our house are crazy with a newborn who needs to be fed, a momma who has to pump, and then a kindergartener who needs to eat breakfast, get ready, and be somewhat put together for school. PS all of this happens in like 30 minutes, it’s absolutely mayhem!
So when the weekends come around I’m in mommy heaven! First off, I have the extra help with my husband being home. But most of all, I can relax. Waking up slowly and making breakfast with my son is a given. But a cozy cup of warm coffee to drink, while sitting outside listening to the noise of the outdoors and watching my son hop around the rocks on our pool. Well… that’s just my favorite!
Mike knows this about me. He knows that the way to my heart is a cup of coffee and quality time outside. It just kinda decompresses me. All the worries of the day or “to do lists” scrolling through my head vanish and I’m able to relax.
One of the best appliances we have in our house is an espresso machine. I like a cup of coffee, don’t get me wrong. But there’s something about a latte, flat white or macchiato in the morning that makes me happy and gives me all the feels. But this espresso machine is not just any machine. It’s not the kind that you see at Starbucks where you have to fill the ground espresso, pound it down, put it in the machine, pull the shot and then froth the milk by hand. Oh no, this machine takes the work out of it for you. And it should, after all I fully believe that espresso was invented for sleep deprived moms! (we are the motor that keeps the family boat running after all, right?)
This Espressotoria Caprista Machine is a mom’s life saver! Put a capsule into the machine of already packed ground espresso, press a button and the machine pulls the shot for you. All you have to do is make sure there’ s a cup underneath. Top it with a little frothed milk using the Espressotoria Milk Frother and voila. An easy latte that’s just minutes away every morning, plus it’s the #1 coffee brand of Australia coming to the US. (so essentially your drinking a little piece of Australia in every sip, and who doesn’t want that!)
Here’s the best part. Walmart.com (so only online) is running a special on these machines as we speak… errrr …. read.
If you buy 6 coffee capsule packs you get the Espressotoria Caprista Machine for FREE! The machine itself is worth $99 so that’s huge! All you dads out there, don’t miss out on this offer –> Mothers Day is just 2 weeks away and your wives will be praising you for this thoughtful gift. Momma’s be sure to forward this to your husbands … if you need to “drop a hint.”
Just click HERE to get the offer! Now, note, this does not come with the milk frother. So if you want that as well, just click HERE.
Ok, now that we’ve got the coffee part covered let’s talk food. In my mind, nothing goes better with a warm latte than homemade baked goods. One of my most popular recipes on my site is this Chocolate Chip Zucchini Bread. Well, today this recipe is getting a slight facelift. We are doubling down on the chocolate, cuz duh… more chocolate is always better … and making Double Chocolate Zucchini Bread.
All the same great flavor from the zucchini but I added cocoa powder to the batter and of course threw in some chocolate chips for good measure. This bread is decadent, slightly sweet, moist and down right delicious! I guarantee it’ll be a hit at your house.
Bon Appetit friends! And happy brewing with that new espresso machine…

Absolutely wonderful! I made this for my 4-year-old’s birthday cake and it rocked. We all loved it! Did three 4-inch cakes to make a super triple decker cake for her and put the remaining batter in the loaf pan per recipe. 4-inch cakes baked 25 mins and the lid was done in 40. So moist and chocolatey. An instant favorite 🤩
WOW! WOW! WOW! I need a picture! I am so glad it was a Birthday Hit!!!
I had to add 1/2 cup of milk to the recipe because I found it too dry and I couldn’t mix it probably. Did I miss something???
Was it still dry after you baked it?
This might be the best looking zucchini bread I’ve ever seen!
My son definitely love this gorgeous bread!

Would love this with my morning coffee! Looks so delicious!
It’s the best way to start the day!
I could 100% sympathize with how your morning routine looks! My kids are a little older now- 5 & 10- but I remember the days of feeding, pumping, gettingthe kids ready AND going to work. UGH! Coffee 100% got me thru those days. And if I had time for a latte, espresso or flat white it was a huge bonus. Love this little machine… and your recipe for chocolate chip zucchini bread. YUM
Ohh so glad someone can relate. Can’t wait to get out of the pumping routine, but until then coffee and lattes will do. 🙂
I love chocolate bread and I think your addition of zucchini is great! It’s a wonderful way to get more vegetables in your diet and eat chocolate at the same time! I can’t wait to make your delightful bread!
This looks amazing– I love zucchini season for breads like this alone! Definitely looks like the perfect companion to a delicious latte!
Hahah I know right! Step aside zoodles… life should be about zucchini bread and thats it!
You had me at double chocolate, but the addition of zucchini in this is fantastic. I love that it helps keep moisture in the bread and no one knows it’s inside!
I love zucchini bread and with zucchini season coming up well I just had to and chocolate is a must! Hope you try this one!
I love when I can sneak in green veggies so the family doesn’t know!! thanks
mmuahhhhhaaa … that’s my evil laugh. Green and chocolate should go together
I’m always up for chocolate in the morning and paired with an espresso….I just may be jumping out of bed to make that happen!
