These Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies are incredibly moist and delicious. They’re easy to make and healthier than the classic chocolate chip cookie!
The first step to recovery is admitting that you have a problem, so I must admit that I have an addiction to chocolate. Like BAD! I have unfortunately inherited this addiction from my father, who is also a lover of chocolate. His dessert of choice is the Starbucks Peppermint Mocha Java Chip Frappucinno, extra chippy no whippy. My dessert of choice is Chocolate Chip cookies. Something about the warm gooey chocolate morsels after they come out of the oven just makes my mouth water. (even as I type this). Now there is nothing bad with having a cookie here or there, my problem is that I have NO self-control when there is a warm batch of cookies in the house. (I may or may not have eaten 2 dozen by myself in 1 1/2 days) So, I tried to think of something that would make them a little healthier, enter Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies. (bananas make it healthier… right?) The texture of these Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies is amazing, and the bite of gooey warm chocolate will satisfy anyone!
How to Make Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies
To get started, Preheat oven to 350°. Mix butter and sugar together in a stand mixer until creamy. Add egg and continue to beat until fully incorporated. In a separate bowl, mix mashed bananas and baking soda together. Let mixture sit for 2 minutes to allow the baking soda to react to bananas. Add banana mixture to butter mixture. Add flour, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Mix until thoroughly combined. Add chocolate chips and fold into batter. Bake cookies for 11-13 minutes. (I did 11 and it was perfect!)
