This refreshing Tropical Mango Smoothie is the perfect way to start your day. Fresh flavors that will take you straight to the beach and with 21 grams of protein!
Breakfast. The most important meal of the day! It’s the meal that gets everything started, including your metabolism. Yet so many people skip it!
I’ve learned a couple of things about myself over the years. I am a “happier” person if I have the following things in the morning:
- Coffee
- Breakfast
- A GOOD workout that makes me sweat
I just feel like I start the day off on the right foot. I’ve accomplished something, got my blood flowing and I’m ready to hit the day head on.
Usually I have a smoothie at least once a day. It’s either for breakfast or after my workout to replace the nutrients I just lost. Either way … a smoothie is going down at my casa and as soon as I start that blender Cason usually chimes in and asks for one too! Anyone else give their kiddos smoothies? Well you should, it’s a great way to sneak fruits and veggies into their diet in large quantities!
Whenever I make a smoothie I usually have a few components that are mandatory, but can easily be changed out depending on the type of flavor I want. Fruit. Yogurt. Fresh Juice or Almond Milk. Protein Powder.
As long as I have those ingredients I KNOW it’s gonna be a winner. Some other things I like to add on occasion are spinach, chia seeds, or nut butters. AND if you want a creamy smoothie without adding dairy, bananas usually do the trick. 🙂
When it comes to Protein Powders … I don’t know about you but I get overwhelmed. Bananas, those are easy to pick out. Peanut Butter that I can handle … the options are crunchy or smooth. But Protein Powder … whew! There are so many different kinds, flavors, Vegan, Plant Based, 10 grams vs. 25 grams … it’s just down right complex.
Which is why I was glad when Burt’s Bees™ told me they were coming out with a Protein Powder! I already know the company .. it’s not some Muscle Builder Company that displays a guy with huge muscles on the front. Nope. They’re all about health and they have a proven reputation. They want to connect their consumers with the beauty of nature.
So, if you’re like me and get overwhelmed by Protein Powders. Look no more. Burt’s Bees™ is where it’s at. AND it doesn’t taste chalky like most protein powders … (WOOHOOO .. insert happy dance)
Ok, so now I have all my “tips and tricks” out of the way. Let’s get down to the deets. This Tropical Mango Smoothie is filled with tropical fruits, Burt’s Bees™ Protein Healthy + Radiance in Vanilla, orange juice, and yogurt. It will take you straight to the tropics and make you feel like you’re drinking a Pina Colada on the beach.
Ok … maybe not a Pina Colada because there’s no rum. But you get the idea. It’s yummy and I guarantee you’ll down in less than 5 minutes.
But the best part is – it’s crazy simple to make, just throw everything into the blender and viola. A delicious dreamy drink that has 21 grams of protein and 11 grams of fiber a serving.
No excuses on the health front people! Load your body with nutrients in one drink! Bottoms up!
