The Basics: How to make Candied Pecans

Description

These sweet and crunchy nuts can be used as a topping for salads, a simple snack, or a holiday gift to friends and family.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of pecans
  • 1/4 cup of white granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Heat up a medium size skillet to medium heat. Add pecans and white granulated sugar to skillet.
  2. Stir to combine the sugar and pecans.
  3. Leave at medium heat and continue to stir occasionally for 15-20 minutes until sugar has formed a crust around the pecans.
  4. Remove from heat and spread out on parchment paper to cool. {split up the larger chunks}
  5. Use a topping to a salad, a snack, or better yet a Holiday gift.
