Caprese Flatbread with Balsamic Reduction

Caprese Flatbreads are loaded with fresh basil, juicy roasted tomato, gooey mozzarella cheese, and a sweet and tangy balsamic reduction.



For the Roasted Tomatoes:

  • 1 pint of grape tomatoes
  • 2 T. of olive oil
  • salt

For the Pizzas:

  • 2 pieces of whole wheat naan bread
  • 1 teaspoon of minced garlic {approximately 1 garlic clove}
  • 2 T. of olive oil
  • 8 oz. of fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 3 T. of basil, roughly chopped
  • Balsamic Reduction


  1. Preheat oven to 400º. Place grape tomatoes on a baking sheet and top with olive oil and salt.
  2. Place in oven and roast tomatoes for 20 minutes.
  3. Reduce oven temperature to 350º.
  4. Place flatbreads on a baking sheet. Top each flatbread with olive oil and 1/2 teaspoon of minced garlic and spread evenly.
  5. Top each flatbread with 4 oz. of freshly sliced mozzarella.
  6. Evenly distribute the roasted grape tomatoes on top of each flatbread.
  7. Place flatbreads in oven and bake for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
  8. Top each flatbread with 1 1/2 Tablespoons of fresh chopped basil. {will need a total of 3 T. of basil}
