Meatballs {with Turkey Meat}

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lb.s of ground turkey
  • 1 T. basil
  • 1 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 10 oz. frozen spinach, dethawed and squeezed dry
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp. of salt
  • 1/2 tsp. of pepper
  • 1/2 cup of shredded parmesan

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375ยบ.
  2. Chop up onion and cloves of garlic, add to a medium sized bowl along with ground turkey meat.
  3. Next de-thaw frozen spinach and then squeeze all the liquid out. {I did the cheater route and put the spinach in the microwave to warm up and then squeezed the liquid out :)}
  4. Next, add dry basil, dry oregano, salt, pepper, egg, and shredded parmesan cheese.
  5. Mix all ingredients together by hand.
  6. Form into 2″ balls and place on baking sheet. {it should make about a dozen meatballs}
  7. Put baking sheet in oven for 30 minutes.
  8. Serve on spaghetti with Homemade Tomato Sauce.
