Add basil, pecans, garlic, salt, pepper, and lemon zest to a food processor. Blend briefly, and then pour in the olive oil. Blend once more, and add the parmesan cheese.
Preheat the air fryer, then pat the salmon dry with a paper towel, brush it with avocado oil, and season it with salt and pepper.
Place the salmon skin-side-down in the air fryer basket and cook it for 9-10 minutes. Then, check to see that the salmon is cooked through.
Take the salmon out of the air fryer and top it with pesto.
