Crispy Baked Garlic Parmesan Fries
Do you ever feel like you take on the weight of other peoples struggles or situations?
Worrying that they will be ok, that they are making the right decision, or that God sees them and will take care of them.
Today I just realized that I have been carrying around this huge “weight” or burden for someone else, but its not mine to carry.
I have been worried about a friend of mine as she moves onto a new stage in her life. Worried that she is making the wrong decision, that she is making a horrible mistake and all I can do is just sit by and watch it happen.
Sometimes I think the “weight/burden” I emotionally carry shows itself in physical ways and this was one of those cases. Almost like God was giving me a warning sign, saying “hey, you are carrying a burden you don’t need to carry!” I have had a headache for at least two days and I finally decided to pray about it and ask God what is going on. Sometimes He says something and other times he doesn’t.
I heard him say that I need to let my friend go.
After I prayed through all of those feelings, worries, anxieties – and was able to “let her go” and the weight that I had been carrying; I immediately felt some of my headache be relieved.
The truth of the situation is it’s not my decision to make and me worrying about it is not going to change the outcome. I may not fully understand the reasoning behind the decision and I don’t have to. I don’t know the plans God has for her. I just need to trust that God knows exactly what path she is walking down and He will take care of her. And I can and will be there to support her no matter what happens.
Are you worrying about anything that is not your burden to carry? Your child, your parents, a friend, a co-worker? Let it go, your “load” will feel a lot lighter! No need to carry around baggage that you don’t have to.
Now, as long as we are on the topic of releasing burdens and worries – how about I relieve some anxiety about Fries?
Not all fries are created equal, nor are they all created “unhealthy.”
In fact these Crispy Baked Garlic Parmesan Fries are they answer to your healthy fry question. {because I know you all sit home wondering that answer to that question… let’s be honest!}
They are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, but the flavor you get from the fresh rosemary and thyme combined with loads of freshly minced garlic – well let me just tell you, its heavenly!
I figured with having burger recipes all week last week you needed a little something to eat with it and these Garlic Parmesan Fries are just the answer. They take about 30 minutes to make so you can easily just throw them in the oven while your preparing the main course!
No dipping sauce needed with these bad boys, they pack enough flavor punch by themselves Hope you enjoy!

So hard, but so much easier when we do! 🙂 Thanks so much Tonia!
I used to do that a lot more; carry other’s burdens. But as I get older it gets much easier to let them go – and my own as well. I am in love with these photos and I want these for dinner!
Smart girl, sometimes its so hard when you care about the person to let it go, ya know! But it really is so much healthier to let it go.
Pumped you liked the fries girl and the photos. 🙂
We have been dealing with my hubby being out of a job for over a month but my husband has stayed so confident and just really trust in God’s plan which has in turn helped me to remain calm. He says whenever he starts worry he just stops and prays and it is bring us both closer to God.
Oh I’m sorry Nancy, that is so tough especially with kids. But I LOVE your husbands perspective on it and his faith in the midst of the storms of life. That faith is what holds our heads above the water and gives us hope! I will so be praying for you guys, thank you for your openness! I truly think that we when are open it binds us together and helps us lift each other up! Hugs sweet friend!
